Watch Seb Loeb Race His 875bhp Peugeot Up A Mountain
Much has been made of Peugeot's return to Pikes Peak with its 208 on steroids, the T16. With 875bhp, flared arches and a spoiler you could iron your shirt on, it was always going to turn heads. When we revealed it, Red Bull had plastered a classy black and white paintjob over its rippling muscles and we loved it.
Now in its final form there's more acknowledgement of Peugeot's racing past. The T16 name comes directly from the famed 405 T16 that Ari Vatanen hustled along Pikes Peak's treacherous roadways, and now the livery nods to the Peugeot Talbot Sport era, with pale blue, yellow, dark blue and red adorning the new car.
Watch below as Loeb hammers the 208 T16 up Mount Venoux in France, sharing tarmac with the holy-crap-that's-loud 405 that gave it its name.
