Watch Williams Smash The F1 Pit Stop Record With An Amazing 1.92sec Effort

Formula 1 teams continue to develop the technology and choreography of the pitstop and Williams set a new record at the European GP with Felipe Massa, changing all four tyres in 1.92 seconds

It’s very rare to see a pitstop go under the two second mark. Ferrari and Red Bull both claim to have done so in 2013 - the former with Fernando Alonso (1.95 seconds) at the Japanese GP and the latter at the US GP with Mark Webber (1.923 seconds).

This time F1 has confirmed Massa’s Baku stop by Williams was a new record at 1.92 seconds - absolutely staggering!

Williams says according to their calculations and onboard data from massa’s car the pit stop was 1.89 sec.
