Watching BMW's New FWD 2-Series Active Tourer Testing At The 'Ring Will Bring BMW Fanboys To Tears
The seven seat version of BMW's family friendly 2-Series AT has been spotted undergoing testing at the Nurburgring
When we reported earlier in the year that BMW had finally bit the bullet and decided to make a front-wheel drive car, you guys weren’t exactly thrilled. Aside from which wheels the power will go to, the tall, MPV-like body of the car didn’t win it many fans. The version seen testing here goes one step further in the dreary practicality stakes, as it’s the elongated seven-seater version.
As much as fans of sporty, rear-wheel drive Bavarian cars will cry foul, these practical additions to the BMW range will no doubt prove hugely popular. And at the very least, this test car looks to corner very tidily for a front-wheel drive MPV.
