We Now Have 'Proof' An Alfa Romeo Giulia Estate Is Happening (UPDATED)

Up until this point, we’ve all just sort of assumed that Alfa Romeo would make a ‘Sportwagon’ estate version of the Giulia saloon. Such a thing still hasn’t been confirmed, but now we have the closest thing to proof we’ve had so far: a good ol’ leaked image.

The image above appeared on several Facebook pages yesterday including Alfa Romeo Project 950. Unfortunately the tailgate is up, hiding most of the styling, but it certainly looks like the real deal. And from what you can see, it looks rather pretty.

We Now Have 'Proof' An Alfa Romeo Giulia Estate Is Happening (UPDATED)

The most pertinent question for us is whether or not Alfa Romeo will make a Quadrifoglio version. This is something we can’t be sure of - Alfa could well do an M3 and keep the hot V6-powered Giulia as a saloon only. In any case, all this gives us a damn good opportunity to post X-Tomi Design’s stunning Giulia Quadrifoglio Sportwagon render (above) once more.

Keep your fingers crossed…

UPDATE: Auto Evolution has put up an interesting comparison image with a Jaguar XF Sportbrake, that shows a remarkably similar interior. So, it might be that this is a rendered image either based on the XF, or the XF’s cabin has been carried over to finish off the image. Also, it looks as though Autocar has taken down its piece on the supposed leak, so this perhaps isn’t the ‘proof’ we were hoping for after all…

But of course I’m sure it still won’t reach the American market because when it comes to cool wagons we can’t have nice things

Just because american rules are different on parts then European rules.
My country asks very high taxes for American cars.
The Ram costs like 50k in USA and 100k taxes in Netherlands make it 150k
