What Car Would You Drop This Used V10 Audi RS6 Engine Into?
During one of our frequent hunts through the classifieds, we stumbled across something rather interesting. Up for £4750 is this engine, taken from the C6 Audi RS6. If you know a little about RS Audis, you’ll know that’s quite a big deal, as the C6 versions of these machines came with a 5.0-litre, twin-turbo V10.
With an output of 572bhp and 479lb ft of torque, the C6 RS6 is not just more powerful than the current V8-powered C7 RS6, it’s the most powerful production Audi ever built.
The engine will probably be snapped up by someone who’s after a replacement unit for an existing RS6, but we can’t help but think how awesome this would be dumped under the bonnet of something else.
If we had the funds for such a project, we’d love to install it in an older Audi, perhaps a C3 or C4 100 (two predecessors of the A6), or maybe the old Audi V8. If it was kept standard on the outside, it’d make a superb sleeper.
What sort of project would you use this engine in?
