Is a Honda supercar faster than a Honda superbike? Thanks to this drag race, we can find out...

Recently we saw how a fettled NSX got on against a Tesla Model S P100D in a drag race, but what if you pitted the Honda against a rival a little closer to home? With two less wheels?

We are - of course - talking about the CBR1000RR ‘Fireblade’ - Honda’s fastest bike, here testing its mettle against Honda’s fastest car.

What Happens When You Drag Race A Honda NSX Against A Fireblade?

The latest version of the Firelade produces 189bhp from a 999cc inline-four, while the NSX doles out 571bhp from a V6 hybrid powertrain. So the car has three times the clout, but (rather obviously) a lot more weight - before sticking a rider on top, the Fireblade tips the scales at 196kg.

Then again, this drag race from Car Wow was filmed on a particularly chilly day in winter, where the bike’s much smaller contact patch is going to be even more of an issue than normal. In other words, this isn’t the easiest one to call before watching.
