A multi-car pile-up in the second GP3 Series race at the Sochi Autodrom in Russia saw Alex Fontana, Riccardo Agostini, Pal Varhaug and Richie Stanaway hit the wall hard at the fast first corner. The impact managed to split Stanaway’s Status GP car in half, with the rear axle being torn off. All of the drivers involved walked away unscathed.
