Massa loses the championship on the last corner of the last race. Brazil 2008
The scenes in the Ferrari garage after were hard to watch
damn i remember that one, i was (and i still am) a diehard ferrari fan. when he crossed the finish i was allready cheerin, than find out he didnt make it :(
At the 2007 Canadian Grand Prix, Anthony Davidson was running third in the rubbish Super Aguri when he hit a groundhog. Was able to pit and get back out, but he’d dropped to 11th. Would have been the only points finish of his F1 career if it wasn’t for that poor little critter!
But I bet this Le Mans disappointment was harder to swallow for Davidson…
That’s a mega example, but yeah sure losing Le Mans victory was more heartbreaking!
This year edition of the 24h Nürburgring. The Black Falcon AMG GT3 took the first place from the HTP AMG GT3 in the last lap, after the 24h countdown had expired.
1st May 1994, Imola, Ayrton Senna, Tamburello corner.
A few weeks ago at Oulton Park in the BTCC, Rob Collard who was driving the m135i managed to climb all the way to 5th, but on his overtake of the car in 5th his BMW went wide, came back on track, made minor contact with the 5th place car but it broke the BMW’s suspension. He then spun out. It was such an absolute shame after an amazing drive from the back.
To note, he was in the low twenties on a grid of 32 cars at the beginning
Well toyota losing the victory in le mans was the cruellest thing i’ve seen. I was really sad after that
they were a hairwidth away from becoming the second japanese manufacturer to win at le mans and the first to break the VAG winning streak
Tired of seeing Porsche and Audi taking wins I know for a damn fact that Toyota would have won. Just hate to see the driver’s hardwork have to be crushed like this. Its hard to say history was going to made for the sake of motorsports and has now been taken away.
Nürburgring 2005 F1…kimi last lap DNF. pretty mutch any DSQ from podium is cruel, so Ricciardo 2014 Australian GP would count in
Ferrari loosing to the Ford, the Ford wasn’t even legal.
In Le Mans this year?Serves them right, the d*ckweeds.Shoulda built the rest of those GTOs
Hakkinen, 2001 F1 Spain. Had huge lead on Schumi, his engine gave up on last lap.
