Meet 36 year old Richard Newton, a car mechanic who was recently found guilty of dangerous driving. The reason? Newton was filmed driving a Mk2 VW Golf at 64mph along the 60mph A171 road. He had his hands behind his head at the time of the offence and was filmed in the act for 27 seconds.
Despite denying the charge - claiming that he was 'in control' - Newton has been disqualified from driving for 12 months.
