Who Knew An E30 Turbo With Anti-Lag Could Be This Savage?

In what is total coincidence, this week has been dominated by BMW. First, we confirmed that BMW drivers are the most hated on our roads, after which we asked you to vote for your favourite M3 model based on last week's M4 news (the E30's just in the lead, by the way...). Today, we've seen what the M4 DTM racer is likely to look like and have also witnessed a V10-powered E36 hit 205mph. Seriously.

Now, we've just been given a link to a video simply titled 'BMW E30 M50 Turbo - Anti Lag'. What it should say however, is 'Duck for cover, the end of the world is nigh!'

Thanks to this E30's M50 engine swap (the 2.5-litre unit you'll find in the next-gen E36 model), plus the addition of a massive turbocharger and anti-lag system, this 696hp (at 1.9 bar boost) road weapon is one of the most ferocious things you're likely ever to strap onto a dyno. Think flames, loud noises and tortured turbo and you're half way there. (If you can watch this without laughing at the brutality, let us know).
