This Is Why Bose's Witchcraft-Spec Suspension Never Became A Thing
That old video of Bose's incredibly flat electromagnetic suspension has done the rounds online plenty of times, but why didn't the system reach production? The guys from CNET explain why, after looking at the incredible technology in action
The last time we saw this technology at work, the question “why are we not funding this?” was posed. The answer is fairly simple: the system was too heavy and too expensive for commercial viability, although elements of the technology were used for the company’s ‘Bose Ride’ seat for truck drivers.

The Wants are uncountable!
This is how you stance your car and don’t worry about speed bumps
I would put this on our F-250. If anyone has ridden in a new one the ride isn’t very comfortable but with this oh man!
Am I the only one that is absolutely appalled by this?
But the real question is… Is that Matt Farrah’s million-mile Lexus??!
*On sound.
I’m guessing the bar is a giant rare earth magnet that repels the magnetic field from the suspension. The car’s momentum keeps it moving forward, while the fields push it up
Why not sell it to Rolls Royce or Bentley? It would be a great option
My thoughts exactly! Or their more insane German cousin: Maybach.
Why does it look animated at some points? The jump definitly looks animated and even the testing does not look real
I think because it just looks surreal. You are expecting the car to move “like a car” instead it moves like a car in need for speed.
that looks weird af cos its not bouncing around
