This Is Why You Must Never Pretend You're A Rally Driver
If we're really honest with ourselves, we all think we're better drivers than we actually are. This M3 driver found that out with devastating consequences. And so too has this Impreza driver.
As ever with these things, it all starts reasonably well as our hooner goes for a thrash along a gravelly backwoods road. He deals with some oversteer well and even pulls off a handbrake turn. But it all goes south when he tries to do a Scandinavian flick.
Our hooner makes a valiant attempt (alright, it's rubbish), but all he does is induce terminal understeer. Having long since run out of talent, all he can do is stand on the brakes and hope he doesn't plunge off the road.
And as luck would have it, he sort of doesn't. At least, not entirely. The left-front wheel drops off the edge, which leaves him dangling face first at the top of a steep bank. At this point, all our hooner can do is extract himself very carefully and wonder what the hell to do next.
So let this be a lesson. Don't pretend to be a rally driver when you're not one. You could end up like the guy in video #2..
