This suicide door converted Tesla isn’t the only car to have received the loving touch of IAMAUTO (no, we’re not sure why it’s all in capital letters either). Give the brand name a Google and you’ll see what we mean - just make sure you have a sick bucket to hand before you click ‘search’.

While you summon up the courage to research Will.i.am’s previous tuning efforts, what do you think this latest one looks like? The bastard love child of an MX-5 and a Tesla? A horrifying, robotised Magikarp? Post your suggestions below…

As my name suggests i think of myself as TheLastHonestCarGuy. And my honest opinion about this is: “It looks like a car from a futuristic video game.” Many like pseudo futuristic car design style i guess because for example look at the i8 fanboys. So i ask the CT-Community this: Do you all dislike the car because the extreme modding done to a car which was not supposed to look like this? Or do you just dislike the car design? (Too modern, futuristic)

If you dislike it because you dislike the modern design in general, or in this case on this Tesla, you are good to go. If you dislike it because “It got raped. It got riced.” or something like this i do not consider you a Honest/True Carguy. (I know why should you care…) Let me tell you why. This kit turned a quite normal looking car into a Videogame styled futuristic car. It made someones ride special. You might not like it but who said everything must look good to you? Also unlike typical ricer kits this is truly UNIQUE. But you guys will still call it Rice, Trash, PoS and more despite this kit being probably better put together with the car than some Widebody Kits you have. I bet if Tesla launched this as a “Vision Concept” or something it wouldnt get close as much hate, if not praise. Be HONEST to yourself and the community.

Personally I don’t really like it because the bland rims and because if you really wanted to go for that Videogame/Future Look you could have been doing quite abit better.

You should not all ride the “Respect all Builds NO MATTER WHAT”-Train. But when you can not identify a job well done (For it’s purpose, not yours.) then you should rethink your “Carguy Philosophy”.

Granted, the cost and skill for manufacturing parts that are completely different to the original body like he’s dome with some other cars requires a ton of money and skill from that company he owns but I’m allowed to dislike it. I personally don’t like the look of it but I’m still a car guy. If someone thought in the lines of “It got raped. It got riced.”, hows that different for disliking it because it looks ‘modern’? Both are opinions and both opinions are on the basis that they don’t like it. One opinion dislikes it for one reason and the other for another reason.

Well said. Never been a fan of suicide doors, though can say this is absolutely stunning. After seeing the outside I’m curious what else has been done to it.

I’m gonna be honest, I think the back of the car looks great. I just don’t like how overly dramatic all the body lines are along the side and how wide the front grille is.

Peole hate on this but love the Veilside RX7… Id rock this over that veikside abimination. Still dont like it but it ckukd be worse is whqt im saying. The front is very mazda looming with the big open “happy” grill.
