The World's Most Expensive Aventador Is Too Damn Small To Drive
This is a gold-plated Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4, which is to be auctioned off with a starting price of $7.5 million - interestingly, it's only a 1:8 scale model.
German model car maker Robert Wilhelm Gulpen claims that the precious gems and metals used total $2.64 million. The Aventador is also carved from a 500kg block of solid gold, apparently...
The video shows a replica model in a bulletproof display case in Dubai. So far, nobody has shown an interest in purchasing the model, which is perhaps unsurprising, considering a real-life Aventador shares the stand. By comparison, the real supercar's $400,000 price tag suddenly seems like a bargain.
If anyone rich enough and/or stupid enough does decide to write a cheque, $650,000 will be donated to charity.
