This WRC Driver Flying 50 Metres Through The Air Is The Most Graceful Thing You'll See Today
World Rally Championship driver Mads Ostberg managed to fly 50 metres through the air at Rally Finland’s “Yellow House Jump” and it looks absolutely amazing
Rally Finland is known for being one of the quickest and toughest WRC events. Not only does it feature some incredibly fast and tricky sections, but there are also a lot of very big jumps.
The “Yellow House Jump” is one of those, with a fast right-hander and small straight just before approach. With these new 2017 WRC cars, they’re going ridiculously quick.
On his second pass through the Ouninpohja stage, Ostberg tackled the world-renowned Rally Finland jump with full force and he sailed 50 metres in the air – that’s over 160 feet, which is, frankly, amazing.
Sit back and watch his Ford Fiesta WRC fly as gracefully as a many, many-horsepowered swan over the jump. It doesn’t get much cooler than that, does it?

That Yellow House owner is not happy.
I would say he is, got the best seat in (on) the house!
Mcqueen did it better
Luigi appreciates your efforts
That happened to me in nfs mw on the hot drive race with the m3
This smells of Knight Rider (1982) with KITT with the turbo boost mode on… man I miss that show so much shame NBC ruined it with the 2008 reboot….
Is it a plane??
Is it a bird??
No, it’s a fiesta
He did that at Colin’s Crest as well!!!!
as the car left the ground, in my mind the Initial D music intensified..
“I believe I can fly!”
“I believe I can touch the sky!”
Somehow when I watch it, this song is ringing in my head.

This has done before though - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmusV5P0KzY Back in 2003 Markko Märtin jumped about the same in old Ford Focus WRC and later ended up winning the event as a first non-nordic driver for years. Having visited the jump myself, I must say the jump is a good one but many hold back due to next few corners to which you can be late if the jumps to big. Also 2 corners before is a nice righthand corner with a tightening end and a slightly negative camber at the top so this can happen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_B6DkvuA0c - But to really get the idea of how this stage feels like - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpDSPhECTSA
He wasn’t the first non nordice Auriol and Sainz won in Finland before him
