You Can Now Buy A Used Nissan GT-R For The Price Of An Audi TT

0-62mph in 3.5 seconds and 196mph for just over £30k? You'd better believe it

Nissan GT-R

As you'll have probably gathered by now, we're pretty keen on digging up fast and relatively affordable cars from the classifieds. When we do, though, we often get comments telling us that used Nissan GT-Rs are available for the same price as whatever motor we're featuring. So to show you that we listen, we thought we'd go hunting for one, and here it is.

Nissan GT-R 2

It's a 2009 model with 37,000 miles on the clock, and is up for £32,995 - about the price of a new Audi TT-S, in other words. We can see why so many of you guys are keen on the idea of a used GT-R, as that's some serious performance for the money.

Nissan GT-R 3

Its 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 develops 471bhp, enough to get the GT-R from 0-62mph in just 3.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 193mph. The four-wheel drive chassis is hugely capable and will flatter the driver whatever his or her ability.

Predictably, running costs are a little on the steep side: vehicle tax is a pricey £490 a year, insurance won't be cheap, and servicing - which is due every 6000 miles - will cost a fair amount. That being said, GT-R running costs are reasonable compared to other cars with similar performance, and having all that power and capability for just over £30k is nothing short of remarkable.
