You Can Now Pre-Order Project Cars 2

You can now put your name down for Project Cars 2, with Slightly Mad Studios confirming three different pre-order versions of the game
You Can Now Pre-Order Project Cars 2

Want to secure your copy of Project Cars 2 now? You’re in luck, as Slightly Mad Studios has just announced that the racing game is now available to pre-order on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

The only trouble is you’ll need to decide which version to go for, as there are three different limited-run pre-order editions to choose from, on top of the ‘regular’ game.

You’ll find the contents of each version is listed in full on the Project Cars website, but to summarise:

Limited Edition

This comes in a natty steel case, contains a sticker sheet and is bundled with a Japanese car pack which includes the Nissan R32 Skyline GT-R and the Honda Project 2&4 among others. It costs the same as the regular version of the game.

Collector's Edition

Stepping things up a notch, this version has everything from the Limited Edition with the addition of a 1/43 scale diecast model of the McLaren 720S, an art book, a ‘season pass’, VIP access to Project Cars e-sports events and a ‘Motorsport Pack’ that includes - among other cars - a 1991 Audi V8 DTM machine.

Ultra Edition

Feeling particularly flush? The Ultra Edition has all of the above plus a McLaren sketch book, a Project Cars 2 poster and a Snapback PC2 hat. Lovely.

We’re not entirely sure how you bag one of the fancier versions just yet - the Project Cars site currently links only to retailers selling the standard version of the game. We’ve contacted a PC2 representative to find out more.

We’re also still waiting on a release date, which - last time we checked - was roughly penciled in for late 2017. With the first Project Cars game garnering praise for its visuals but criticism for occasionally glitchy gameplay and issues with the controller interface, PC2 has a lofty burden on its shoulders. Our time spent on an early build of PC2 has us hopeful that the new game will be a significant step up, but we’ll find out for sure later in the year.
