You've Another Chance To Buy Richard Hammond's E36 BMW M3
Fancy a reasonably-priced slice of Top Gear history? Look no further. Having come up for auction two and a half years ago and sold for just £5830 - well under the £7500 lower estimate - the E36 M3 Evo used by Richard Hammond in series 15’s used sports saloon challenge will be going under the hammer once more.
Since the last time we saw it, the car has done 7000 or so extra miles, bringing the the total to 86,800 miles - still below average for something that left the factory 21 years ago.
The Boston Green example was infamously portrayed as failing an ADAC road-worthiness test miserably, but according to Classic Car Auctions, this M3 is in distinctly average condition. It’s been given ‘condition report’ of 85 out of 135, so in other words, it’s far from perfect, but it’s not falling apart either.
It has an MOT until August 2018, has a “partial history file,” and from the images at least, it really doesn’t look too shabby.
Tempted? The car will go under the hammer with no reserve at a Classic Car Auctions sale on 2 December. No estimate has been given this time.

I wish I had that car
Every one dreams of driving an engine but c’mon it for sale for a reason given that BMW engines are a hassle to work on, even if it’s this 6 cylinder.
Why is it 4 door, m3 is 2 door
