Zenvo Has Unleashed A Twin-Supercharged 1177bhp Track Beast

Zenvo's pursuit of raw speed and maximum dramas has taken another step forwards with the reveal of the TSR-S, its most powerful and cleverest car to date

The speed merchants at Danish supercar-maker Zenvo have come up trumps with a new flagship road-legal track monster, as they hinted at recently.

The TSR-S uses a more powerful version of the twin-supercharged, 5.8-litre, flat-plane and utterly mad V8 used in the TS1 GT and TSR. Mustering 1177bhp at 8500rpm, this thing must be quite dramatic. Top speed is electronically limited to 202mph, while 62mph and 124mph fly by in 2.8 and 6.8 seconds respectively.

The 4.8-metre, 1495kg hypercar places the engine in the middle with a final weight distribution of 44:56 front to rear. Despite it being over two metres wide, the TSR-S can deal with speed bumps thanks to a 50mm ride-height lift function.

Wrapped in racy carbonfibre bodywork the TSR-S uses a motorsport-derived automated gearbox that, says Zenvo, is one of the fastest-shifting transmissions in existence. Another neat feature is the Centripetal Wing, an active rear spoiler with two rotational axes that allow it to act as an air brake and a cornering stabiliser, turning away from the straight-ahead to increase pressure – and grip – at the inside wheels.
