10 Dream Cars These Under-25s Won With BOTB

BMW M2

The BMW M2 is a very special car. It’s been seen as a return to the proper enthusiasts car of yesteryear, and for Haji Tyoke, that experience is something that he’ll get to live. At just 22, Haji has won a BMW M2 from us at BOTB and was over the moon with the car. The BMW M2 is actually so sought after right now though that we had to use a BMW M3 for the surprise, as we couldn’t even find an M2 as a stand-in!

The M2 comes equipped with a 365bhp inline-6 that helps it achieve 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds and then onto a top speed of 155mph. There’s no doubting the fact that Haji is a very lucky man, and the £10,000 in cash that he won along with the car just makes the win even sweeter!

Range Rover Sport

Many people think that we at BOTB just do supercars and exotics, but in actual fact, we offer pretty much any kind of car that you can think of. One of the most popular cars that we offer is the Range Rover Sport.

Michael Arwas happens to be one of the lucky BOTB users to have won one of these luxury 4x4s at just age 25, and it’s certainly an awesome replacement for his 10 year old BMW 1-Series. Both his mum and his boss helped us to surprise him with the brand new Range Rover, which left him positively speechless.

Maserati Ghibli

When Lewis Richardson’s girlfriend asked him to stay home to pick up an Amazon package, he thought it would just be a quiet morning pick-up, bit it actually turned out to be us delivering a far more special package to him.

That package was in the form of a £63,000 Maserati Ghibli S that he had won from us at BOTB. The 400hp twin-turbo Ghibli is a true luxury powerhouse and Lewis was gobsmacked with what he had won. The 21-year-old was also ecstatic to learn that he had won the £10,000 in cash as well as the car, as he had selected the extra option on his ticket.

For your chance to own your very own Ghibli for just a few pounds, head to the link right here.

Vauxhall VXR8 GTS

Ashley Clark woke up thinking that he was going to be going to work in his Volkswagen Polo, but we surprised him with a brand new 576hp Vauxhall VXR8 GTS. Powered by a supercharged version of GM’s LS3, the VXR8 GTS is a RWD beast of a car, and something that we’d all love to be thrown the keys to.

Even better, Ashley won £10,000 in cash along with the car that he can configure with as many options as he wants. That’s not a bad return from a £7 BOTB ticket.

For the chance to win the VXR8 GTS for just a few pounds, head here to pick up a ticket.

Mercedes CLS63 AMG

One of the most asked questions that we get at BOTB is whether or not you can win if you are outside of the U.K., and this example will answer that question no doubt! Cyrus Harandi was in the U.K. visiting his girlfriend last year and stumbled upon BOTB. Ever since then he’s been playing in his hometown of Toronto, Canada pretty regularly, and has opted for a Mercedes every single time.

At 21-years-old, Cyrus hit the correct coordinates and managed to bag himself an absolutely stunning Mercedes CLS63 AMG as well as £10,000 in cash. The CLS63 is a rocket ship of a car, powered by the famed Mercedes 5.5-litre V8. In this application it gets two turbos which help it to pump out 541bhp to the rear wheels. This propels the CLS63 to 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds and then onto a limited top speed of 155 mph . Cyrus was very happy with his car and has been enjoying it ever since!

Range Rover Sport

For the second time in this list, one of our lucky winners received a brand new Range Rover Sport (as well as being the second Canadian on this list). We headed out on a snowy Canadian morning to give 22-year-old Gerald Agbalizu his brand new car, who was stunned by what had happened.

At first Gerald didn’t believe that the he had won the Sport, but when he saw it parked 20 yards from his house, it really hit home. Both he and his friend went crazy at the prospect that Gerald had just won a brand new Range Rover Sport from us at BOTB. He wasted no time and jumped behind the wheel straight away. We can’t blame him for that, as it’s the perfect car to navigate Canada’s snowy roads.

Check out the 4x4 category here to see what off-roader you could drive away in!

BMW X5M

Hengqin Hu is a 21-year-old Automotive Engineering student studying in Coventry, who regularly entered into the BOTB dream car competition, in hopes of winning the BMW X5. He really wanted the M-Sport version, that comes equipped with the 258bhp 3-litre Inline-6 powerplant.

Hengqin hit the jackpot and got the coordinates exactly right, so managed to win the BMW SUV that he’d always wanted, as well £10,000 in cash, which’ll go a long way in the student bar!

Dodge Challenger Hellcat

In the U.K. we are used to 1.0-litre hatchbacks and people carriers, so something like the 6.2-litre Challenger Hellcat is very special to see on the roads. This reason alone was enough to make Sheena Lalsingh cry with joy when she won the 707hp beast from us at BOTB. 23-year-old Sheena had previously driven a Challenger when on holiday in the U.S., and after falling in love with the car, made it her mission to win one from BOTB.

She succeeded and we went to go surprise her at her job with the news that her American muscle dream car was hers. The Hellcat is actually so rare in the U.K that we could only get a R/T ‘Shaker’ edition as a placeholder for her surprise but rest assured that her full-fat version will be delivered to her soon enough!

Head right here to see if you can win the Hellcat this week!

Mercedes A45 AMG

The Mercedes A45 AMG is a pocket-rocket of a car. It sprints from 0-60mph in just 4.6 seconds and onto a limited top speed of 155mph. This speed comes courtesy of a turbocharged inline-4 that spits out 355hp to all four wheels. This gives it supercar rivalling performance, with sports car price and family car practicality.

Luckily for 21-year-old Saif Aurangzeb, he only had to pay a few pounds to have an A45 AMG parked on his drive, as he won it through BOTB as well as £10,000 in cash! Saif went on to order his A45 in red from a local dealership who helped him build his dream car.

For a chance to win the A45 AMG this week, head right here and pick up a ticket.

Range Rover Sport

We told you that the Range Rover Sport was popular, and as proof, here’s the third winner of one in this list alone. 25-year-old Mohammed Khan happens to be the lucky winner of one of these TDV6 Sports which churns out a respectable 289 bhp which helps it get from 0-60 mph in 7.2 seconds. It might not be the fastest cars in the BOTB fleet, but it’s certainly one of the most luxurious.

As for Mohammed, we surprised him with the car after he had bought the tickets while revising for his Engineering exams at university. We pretended to be interested in a TV that he had for sale online, but instead handed him the keys to his brand new Range Rover. He may not have sold the TV, but he did gain a TDV6 instead!

For your chance to win a Range Rover for just a few pounds, head to BOTB right here and choose what model you’d like to drive home in.

To be in with a chance of winning, head to any of the BOTB links above and choose the car that you’d like to win. Then simply play a simple ‘spot the ball’ challenge and a group of independent judges will do the same to determine the winning coordinates. Whoever is closest to the judge’s coordinates wins the car that they played for! Head to BOTB to find out more about how to play and how it works.

So if I would get lucky enough to win, let’s say a Nissan R35 GT-R, I would be liable to pay somewhere between 40 000 - 50 000 € in import taxes when registering it to Finland.
But if I would opt to receive the cash compensation which would be 86 712 € (78 030x0,8 = 62 424 £) I could buy a used 2009 model instead already registered, which I have to pay for:
The insurance, starting art 990€s but options go up to 3 600 € a year. (although I could only get a quote from one site, rest require me to call them over the phone)
Road taxes 442 € a year.
And I wouldn’t get the free gas offer either.

OR I could store it in a garage for years until I have enough money to register the damn thing.

Finland has been a question that pops up recently regarding tax. We’re not sure if local taxes (you’d obviously know more about Finland!) on luxury items but in most countries in Europe (including the UK) the car doesn’t have any taxes on it when the winner receives it. We’d buy it locally for you so would avoid the import taxes, unless of course you can’t buy GT-Rs in Finland? (conscious that soon they’re going to cease production in lieu of the new GT-R)

I played once, free money spent on Corvette. Then I realised I’d have to pay 10% tax. Fortunately I didn’t win.
