I mean in a way it’s true. A lot of people were hating on him because of SpaceX, but space is really not that easy. But Tesla is a lot easier to make fun of because there’s an actual reason to.

Spacex should be the last reason to hate on him, really. He’s already proven himself with it: already sending supplies to the ISS, already building/developing potentially the satest and most capable rocket in history (BFR), and has already created fully reusable self-landing rockets. This proves that he can send people to mars and the moon, which, if you didn’t already know are rather important parts of human history. Will he win the race though, I don’t know. But there’s not a lot of competition. NASA is underfunded, and the rest too far behind in technology.
He’s made some good contributions but his ego is just too flipping big,
