The classic era of the Need for Speed series (1994-2002) takes a special place in my heart, definitely my favorite. The choice of cars, exotic places, great music, car showcase, absolutely no tuning, just pure racing, oh… the memories… The first era is also the one that got me into reading more informations about cars. Also, fun fact: the first game of the series - Road & Track Presents: The Need for Speed was actually released as a driving game for Panasonic 3DO console, then it got ported to the other platforms as a full racing game in it’s later years.

Also, about the choice of the game from this era of NFS series, I honestly can’t decide… they are all greatly made.

That’s a really difficult tossup for me. Either the Underground era or Criterion era. Both have respective highlights and both are very nostalgic to me. I never really played the classic era and the Ghost era is yet to really be that memorable for me.
