I had to make this video. My kit car has some narrow places where the proper tool doesn’t fit at all and this alternative way of installing rivnuts saved her from being torn to pieces with a grinder and set on fire.
I thought this was proper way? Lol! I had the same trouble with my lotus 7 style kit car..
there’s an amazing tool… and then there’s folks like us with their sh!tty 7style kit cars :)
