Would a Saturn/Vauxhall Astra be a good first car?

These things are really just rebadged Vauxhall Astras brought over to North America, but because they were badged as Saturns, people immediately blew them off as crap. Therefore, they can be bought for next to nothing in awesome shape, although the three door hatches cost more than the five doors. Opinions?

If you’re going to race in Tesco Carpark Endurance Championship (TCEC) then go for it!

If I bought one I’d immediately rebadge it as an Opel or Vauxhall.

Hatchs are a good choice to begin, easy & cheap to fjx

My only advice when buying used cars is look at mid to high priced cars in the model’s price bracket. The “deals” almost always have serious problems residing beneath the surface. Then when you have a good one lined up, then see if you can knock some money off the tag.

You dont want anything bigger than that when you start. Just make sure whatever it is you get the car checked first.
