9 Reasons Why You Should Own a Mustang

For this article I reflected on my five months of owning my Mustang, and thought of 9 reasons why I’ve enjoyed owning it, and why other people should! I’ll make this into a YouTube video later on, but here is my article!

1. The Community

The Ford Mustang has a massive following, and with this there are numerous Mustang clubs all over the United states and beyond. It’s a normal thing for other S550 owners to just wave at me while I’m driving, and I have had plenty of other “fun” encounters with other mustangs. You truly become apart of a massive family when you drive a mustang!

2. Your Mustang is a Blank Canvas!

With plenty of parts suppliers, you can truly make a mustang your own. This creates an extreme level of diversity among the Mustang crowd. The pictures above are only a small portion of what some people have made!

3. The Performance Parts Aftermarket is HUGE.

Numerous parts suppliers offer headers, forced induction, exhausts, and everything you could possibly want for making power or improving handling. Ford even sells performance suspension kits, exhausts, and brakes through Ford Performance/Ford Racing. Ford also works with the tuning company Roush to sell 700+ hp mustangs, and to sell other Roush parts like exhausts. Even the v6 mustang has plenty of potential in the aftermarket, with procharger kits that can up the power output to 500+ hp!

4. POWAAAAAA!

The Mustang is a great car to buy if you want a powerful car out the box. Every mustang trim provides a great amount of power compared to other cars in the price range, and even some beyond!

5. Road Presence

The Mustang is a car that not only appeals to car enthusiasts, but also to average people. Even my cosmetically stock mustang has received several compliments! Along with that, almost everyone knows what a mustang is, adding to it’s appeal.

6. They look great!

This can be said for most mustangs (with others like the 70’s gen and foxbody being debatable). It’s the typical “cool” car, and plenty of people love it!

7. They're fun to drive!

Plenty of power, a manual gearbox, and a good chassis makes mustangs fun to drive! The new independent rear suspension has really helped the mustang’s handling, but regardless other’s would still be fun!

8. Burnouts, Doughnuts, and Drifting

Rear wheel drive+High power=easy to break traction and fun!

9. The Heritage

The Mustang is a car with a long history of great iconic cars. It’s great to own a car that has so much history!

Thanks for reading my article! As I mentioned earlier I’ll make this into a YouTube video, but I want to take my time and gather some video footage for it. Follow me for more articles, and mustang content!

My father is thinking about buying a last gen Mustang ! Unfortunately he’ll buy the V6 Ecoboost and won’t listen to me about buying the V8 😢

My dad normally drives a 500 hp v8, and he found my v6 to be a fun car! Your dad would find it fun. The modding community for the v6 is just as large as the v8’s, with plenty of performance mods available.

You’re missing out lol! (Jk). Out of curiosity, what is the aftermarket like for the camaro? For the mustang there are sites like American Muscle, CJ pony parts, LMR, and lethal performance that sell parts.

Then the one to override all, in Singapore; NO Mustangs have ever been spotted here so far,Road tax so high that your wallet now bears a grudge against you, and we have no clue whether it’s even sold here! Horrible-ish fuel consumption is another thing too…Also, no one really cares much about Mustang’s here. Most non-car guys here wouldn’t probably even acknowledge it’s existence! It’s just too brash, too shouty, too…..Much, for the sort of roads we have here. Even though the 5.0 V8 and the Ecoboost is sold here, I don’t think many would care about this car, yes, its a great car, but here, not many people would probably bat an eyelid on a ‘Stang, and, most non-car guys, as I said, wouldn’t probably even acknowledge its existence.Honestly, I’d go with something nicer, maybe a Lotus, or something like that, a bit more sensible, and at least maybe a bit more economical…

A lotus isn’t very sensible… I understand that your taxes on cars is high, but you seem to be noting only one aspect in my article that is quite frankly the least important part. It doesn’t matter how much attention your car gets. It’s about how you feel about it, and if you enjoy owning it. My point is more valid in the U.S given the mustang’s history and fame over here.
