It’s because Toyota didn’t gave them the Right to put their car name in Initial D , until it became popular.
CeSayrise is correct. It’s actually not a mistake, it was deliberately done to avoid any copyright problems from Toyota. They got the rights later on so they changed Toreno to Trueno.
Like the shoes too , it was M instead of N … lmao
Huh, kind of weird how in the end credits scene, the AE86 has Trueno on it lol
They also used “nisno” on iketanis t-shirt instead of Nissl
