Yes, but only in diesel engines for ships. The problem is that it isn’t as smooth or balanced as a V12 or V16, and if used in a performance car, the sound would be pretty awful (try playing C and Bb at the same time on a keyboard).
What keys would you hit to make the sound of an inline 7, I have always wondered what that would sound like
There was, for Marina Use. The range of HP was from 9,400 to 22,500 hp
Never in a car, but there was a diesel v14 in some British submarine.
I doubt it, but if there is it’s probably a marine engine.
