The 500K Enzo/Pagani hybrid you have never heard of

Meet: the 2011 Simbol Lavazza - GTX-R V12. I came across this car whilst scrolling through Catawiki, an auction site where you’ll often find strange things — including cars — for sale. I had never heard of it, and initially thought it was a cheap kit-car made to look like a Ferrari Enzo, until I saw the pricetag: its value is estimated at a whopping half a million euros.

The Looks - Frankenstein’s Monster?

From the front it struck me immediately as a Ferrari Enzo kit car. As I looked through Google Images to find more angles, I noticed that its split rear wing and high-mounted exhaust tips reminded me very much of the first generation Pagani Zonda, and so do the glossy chromed out rims and pod-style headlights. The material is not some cheap plastic blend, though. Composed of a Carbon-Kevlar composite material, the car weighs a mere 2381lbs, or 1080kg.

The Powertrain:
Although the looks don’t give me a fizz, the powerplant certainly does: a whopping 5.4L 489HP BMW V12. That certainly makes this car no slouch, especially coupled up to a 6-speed ‘box. 0-60 is achieved in 4.6 seconds, not bad, but certainly not half a million spec in today’s standards.

The Interior:
What certainly reminds me of kit cars of years past is it’s bold interior. A steering wheel which I can only describe as coming from a UC-45J WWII fighter plane. Either that, or 2Fast 2Furious, it seems to me. It appears to be upholstered in an Alcantara-sort-of material with classic carbon fibre bucket seats.

Where to Buy:
Here’s the link to the page, if you are interested and happen to have half a million to spare:
