Oldtimer vs Youngtimer

So whats the exact difference between an old and youngtimer? After how much years is it a youngtimer? Who defines this?

i don’t really know, but probably from it’s overall shape, boxy to rounded, etc, years were probably 20yrs and up, i don’t really know about it

10 years of age… a youngtimer is 15-25 years old, an oldtimer is 25 or older.

In Spain, you could legally declare your car as a classic if it has 25 years (this cost you money, and you need a certain % of original parts; but gives you advantages on taxes and insurance). But last year they changed it to 30 years because of cars like the Citroën c15, or Golf mk 2; there are a lot of them and too many people was getting advantages.
Sadly, the contamination taxes and limitations are slowly killing them anyway ;-;

I think its widely aknowledged that the politicians of the whole world try to kill the car industry of today. They want to ban everything wich uses gasoline and diesel engines, regardless of how old or young they are. Ignoring the fact that alternative products like hydrogen can produce a very efficient car and that older gasoline cars can even be modified to run with hydrogen. They (the politicans) just think about themselfes and how they can be reelected instead of batteling the real problems of this world, thus we, petrolheads, have to suffer the imaginary problem that they have created all over the years….
