Gumball 3000 Live: This CTzen Gave Us A Free Car Wash

It’s now Saturday morning in Dublin, having safely touched down last night and reunited with some Gumball pals including Team Galag and Team Shmee. The EmojiTR has picked up some grime on the 5 hour journey from London and is in desperate need of some TLC.

I tell Gabz to search for some local car washes in the area and we get led down cobbly one-way streets to a dilapidated car park, where some Irishmen are tapping their forearms and shooting up. I decide that I’d rather have McDonalds for breakfast…

We realise that there’s no car wash here, but a guy is running up to us, and asks for a picture. I happily oblige, and step out of the car and whilst I’m there, ask him if he knows where a hand car wash is. His name is Patrick, and he’s another very friendly local lad. To my shock, Paddy says that he runs a little car wash and would love to wash the GT-R for us because he’s a CTzen!

Paddy jumps in the car and we head off on a fifteen minute drive, again through various one-way streets and standard Dublin traffic.

We arrive in a back alley and Paddy opens up his workshop, which is like a petrolhead’s wet dream. He gets to work on the car, trying to scrub off the muck. The car runs rich, and tends to leave a lot of carbon on the exhaust tips and all over the rear of the car, but it’s nothing that a little elbow grease won’t fix.

Another young chap comes up to us and asks me to rev the car whilst he films on Snapchat. I don’t need asking twice! His name is Lenny and I smile when he looks at the EmojiTR in awe… this is what Gumball is all about.

Paddy’s now finished with the car, and the wrap is back to its vibrant yellow self. We say our goodbyes, give him a load of swag to thank him for his time, and drive off.

Next stop, McDonalds breakfast…
