65,000 Lumen 23" #LED Light Bar Review + Comparison to 54,000 Lumen Bar

Another day, another LED upgrade. This time I’m upgrading my short lived 54,000 lumen LED light bar to a 65,000 lumen LED light bar. It is essentially the same brand and length of bar, with upgraded LED chips. For those of you interested in my original 54,000 Lumen 23” #LED Light Bar Review, follow the link.

The first thing to notice about the above two photos is that the original bar was tilted down a couple more degrees than the new bar. It made it hard to drive with when the roads were wet due to glare, so I decided to angle the bar up a bit this time around. The new bar also provides greater width and length for the light beam, all while being that extra bit brighter.

Keeping in mind that I’m starting off with very bright LED headlights and driving lights, this bar makes them look like candles. It’s so ridiculously bright that I was able to drive on an unlit portion of highway after midnight while wearing dark sunglasses, and still had better visibility than my high beams would have afforded without sunglasses. My high beams are 16,000 lumen LEDs compared to oem 3,000 lumen halogens, and they still can’t even begin to compare to this bar. This bar bumps my total front end white lumens to over 95,200 lumens, and more than 100,000 total lumens on the exterior of the #Focus.

In conclusion, this bar is far more light than needed by pretty well any road going vehicle. It can’t be used if anyone is around, as even off into the distance it can and will affect other’s vision. It works brilliantly as high beams, so long as you’re over cautious with it’s use. If you purchase a similarly bright bar, I’d recommend installing the power switch close at hand for easy access to turn it off. As the Spider-Man quote reads, “With great power there must also come great responsibility”.
