Shaking gearstick...
Hey everybody,
So yesterday I went to see a MX5 nb 1.8 and it looked great, felt great and everything. BUT, I couldn’t help but notice that the gearstick kept on shaking. At idle and (less) while driving. Do you guys/girls know what this could be?

It’s normal, don’t worry. My 1.6 does it aswell, and every other mx-5 video i saw on youtube did it aswell. It is because you shift directly on the gearbox (i guess that’s the reason, i’m still learning about cars).
All miata’s/mx5’s do it, it’s normal
it could be old transmission mounts. mine dose it to.
Can be just old bushings and all it needs is a shifter rebuild. Nothing major.
Most likely just needs a shifter rebuild.
Does the engine move a lot on idle too. Could be engine or/and diff mounts
