Carroll Shelby helped develop the 1st gen Viper… hence the snake names and low slung roadster of the the original!

Basically “Viper” is the successor of “Cobra” and for what i know shelby wanted a new car with same philosophy of the cobra(lightweight and with a big engine) but chrysler followed just in part guide lines of carroll so the final result was a great disappointment for him. He wanted a car with the same lines but much less weight … That’s the opposite of vipers , they’re beatiful and they take a lot from cobra and daytona design but are heavy.Anyway Vipers are care to love and respect and you had a great to notice this resemblances ;)
