Attention: the Car Throttle app is no longer supported. Please use the mobile site!

Hello all! Since we receive a few comments about app issues every week, I’d just like to clarify once more that the Car Throttle app is no longer supported. We don’t have the resources to provide updates and bug fixes, hence why the app was removed from the Google Play and Apple App Store a few years ago.

If you still have the app on your device it will function, but poorly - for the best user experience, please use the mobile site.

I know the app still has a lot of fans, but as CT founder Adnan explained a while ago, it was part of a business plan we had to move away from.

Thank you for your understanding, and stay safe :)

Idk about UK prices, but here in Asian countries you can pay as little as 100 USD to outsource the maintenance of mobile app elsewhere. A group of IT developers will maintain and fix bugs for you every once an awhile. So, CT has no reason not to pursue this app in the future. You guys can try this strategy to improve the mobile app experience. Just my 2 cents tho :)

To bring the app back to where it should be, maintain and develop it further would cost considerably more than that. It’s a tough time for the publishing industry at the minute, with budget and job cuts left-right-and-centre - there’s no room to spend money on an app with a small user base and no good way to monetise.

It’s a real shame! I have been using the app since the beginning and have not had any major issues until this week (not showing any images). The app was very convenient and easy to use. I am sad to see it go. I understand the route you are going down is financially more attractive but I would’ve still been nice if at least something remained for the real car community. Since the interactions are decreasing and now this, I believe my time has come to say goodbye as well. A real shame, really!
