Why does the Aston Martin V8 Vantage look like the Ford Mustang?

It kinda does, at least the 70s one did
Each time had their key design features, the late 30s and 40s had nassive wheelarches, the 50s had “space” featurez, the 60s got sleeker bodies, the 70s got bug-eye headlights, even the Toyota Starlet got this design, the 80s got square cars and wedge shaped supercar, etc.
Because Aston want to look cool 👌
Is it just me who prefers the original DBS design to this one?
