My wife keeps making dents and scratches every 6 months.

What can I do about this? This time I’ve had it and I’m not gonna fix the scratch.
It has something to do with her sense of the body size, especially on the far side rear tyre.

I still love her more than the car she drives. I won’t let her drive the one I really love.

Get her a smaller car or a beater. I’d say a twingo but i’m not sure where you live

I’ve just seen your garage and i guess an other would make no sense. I suggest make her repair the dent this time instead of you

Happened with my parents. Smaller car was the answer. My mum scratched the entire left side of our Mercedes CLS along a bollard, but since we’ve had the Seat Ibiza, both my mum and dad love the ease of use.

Yeah, it’s a great benefit of driving a smaller/less pricey car that you don’t have to worry too much about the size and repair cost. My wife’s car is rather cheap, driven for a good long time. The only problem is an unfixed dent is a psychological permission to making more.

Didn’t mention what car she drives. It’s Honda’s JDM compact seven-seater called FREED, which is already small enough with 4.2m length x 1.7m width.
Smaller than this would raise another issue concerning passive safety, although she hasn’t caused any major crash. There have been only parking speed accidents against poles and walls.

Her car is already old and cheap so just let it wear out to the end…

get her parking sensors or a reverse camera or something

It’s got sensors and a camera and none of them works for her somehow ;( The only thing we haven’t tried is an automatic parking assistance system, although she tends to hit curbs on the side door when moving forward and turning tight.
