Good 5.0 cam for both N/A and supercharged applications?

Looking for a nice lumpy cam that can do both a naturally aspirated build, as well as eventually a supercharger. It’s for a ‘96 Explorer 302, not a Mustang, but same engine.

What kind of N/A build, and what kind of supercharger? I think the main cam aspect you should be worried about is duration and overlap… a high-revving, high power N/A cam will have far too much overlap for a forced induction motor. You cannot use a single cam for two specialized applications without making some compromise… try calling a cam company and telling them what you want, and they will most likely have a cam already in production for that use.

Its not for some full blown race prep. Just something that will do a decent job for either, as a compormise.

Ford Racing B303 should work in that motor.. though you will need to do your valve springs.. assuming thats the GT40P heads.. It’s pretty close to the stock duration, but gives the nice rough idle and should work with a blower..

Yeah, I was looking at the F and E series. There’s quite a few from Ford.
