My best cars for each class in Forza 6
#blogpost

I’d like to think that most of us have played a racing game of some sorts at least once in our lives. If not, I’m not judging, as it’s not for everybody. I thought I’d like to share my best (handling) cars for each normal class in Forza 6 (excluding R, P and X). Enjoy!

E: SB3 Honda Civic Si

Originally built for a 100HP challenge and later adapted for a FailRace Vs the Community, this little machine turned out to be a top 1000 car around Lime Rock. To get the PI up, I fitted race compound tyres (full width) along with race-spec brakes, suspension, rollcage and ARBs.

D: Volkswagen Corrado VR6

Quite a recent build, though a decent one at that. Stock engine, so only 170 or so HP. As it’s a full handling build it’s relatively easy to drive, rather fast when it comes to laptimes as well. I (just yesterday at the time of writing) set a top 2000 time at a power biased track, so who knows what it could do at a suitable track.

C: Toyota GT86

This was a car I built for no particular reason, other than the fact that I wanted to try it out and had a stock one lying about in my garage. With full race bits, it already has the means to be a proper track weapon. As an experiment, I converted it to AWD. This not only means I have tonnes of extra rear end stability in the dry, as it also has plenty of grip in the wet. It only has basic engine upgrades though, so only 220HP or thereabouts. Not fast in a straight line.

B: Fiat 500 Abarth

Whilst my most successful 500 is my C class one, the 86 is a much more consistent car. B class is where I have a truly magnificent 500. It’s absolute bliss to drive, despite its inherent lack of power ( a measly 170 or so HP) it can claw its way around any twisty track with unnerving ease, and is easy to dodge wrecks with thanks to its light weight and short wheelbase, making quick changes of direction and avoiding manouevres extremely easy.

A: Hot Wheels Bone Shaker

Yup. Not a usual choice, but one that works, and bloody well at that. The engine is near maxed out, thus makes around 500HP last I checked. To prevent oversteery issues, it has been AWD converted and to balance out the tyre widths to prevent understeer/ oversteer as best I can, it has stock width rear tyres (still 355s or something ludicrous like that) and max width fronts. Unfortunately, times set in this car are not saved on the leaderboard, however I have checked and if they were, this car would be sitting happily in the top 700 worldwide at Brands Hatch Grand Prix.

S: 991 Porsche 911 Turbo S

Can be twitchy at times, though this is not uncommon with Porsches. AWD with around 650HP, this thing can pick up its bags and go if need be. The tune is a bit iffy and makes the car prone to rolling around under braking occasionally, though provided I’m sharp it’s nothing too drastic. I’m by no means an S class person, so this car is probably very off pace with S class devotees, but I enjoy driving it. I’ll set some times with it though, and check how good/bad it really is.

That’s it for this blogpost, probably won’t be too much of a hit with all the anti-forza air floating around right now. Anyway, that was another short blog from me. Goodbye!

(I am aware the Corrado image is broken, I can’t fix that just now so it’ll have to wait)

I am on the fence about shelling out the 19.99 for the Porsche expansion…is there a better DLC than that?

Ehh, it’s a good expansion but I wouldn’t say it’s worth $20. You get a good amount of cars (10-15, can’t remember exactly) and a track (VIRginia International) but I wouldn’t say it’s 100% worth the price. The NASCAR expansion adds another element of racing but it’s an almost half-complete expansion. If I were you, I’d get Blizzard Mountain for FH3. If you already have that, then whichever of the two FM6 ones peaks your interest the most. (Sorry for the essay haha)

Well.. E-Class.. There was that little purple Miata, that only lost the race, because Forza decided to stop it in the pits for no reason.. It was a handling build aswell for FRvsTC on Lime Rock some time ago :D
