I am looking to buy this vw scirocco . But noticed it had an oil leak .
Can anyone pls tell me where the oil is coming from and what might be wrong with it .

They dont but this one has some software tune . Idk whats wrong but i really like the car and would love to buy it knowing what the issue is

Could you post a photo of the overall engine. I don’t know where that are box is located in relation to things like the valve cover gasket for PCV valve

Hmm well id recomend a new PCV. Looks like its not working right and letting oil get that far up the tube then it looks like its not sealed around the air box like its supposed to.

Then that looks like the tube is after the filter and with it being loose it is letting dirt and dust get sucked into the engine. Likely fine but it should be sealed up to prevent engine damage from dust contamination

Being the intake, it is probably engine blow-by.
The engine has a vent on top of the cam cover to release pressure and oil. This goes back into the intake where it goes into the cylinders to get burnt up with the exhaust gases.
Oil blow-by could be from a number of issues like running hot, too much compression, not being tuned properly, or just too much engine oil.
