What PERFORM button?

So the Haynes Book I got says that the F-Body
Firebird has a PERFORM button, that makes the transmission shift later. Where is that said button?

My 95 trans am had it. I believe it was only on Trans Am and formulas. I dont think the v6s ever got it. Its a button in front of the cupholder, behind the shifter that says “perform transmission” i dont think it really did much when i used it
