XX is the name of their experimental program. F for Ferrari. The K is for KERS.

F stands for ferrari (of course), the 2 x’s are because the ferrari enzo was originally going to be called the fx so they chose xx to say that it was twice the car of an enzo, k stands for KERS (Kinetic energy recovery system). That was a little history for you:D
