Can’t remember where I first saw it, but I heard about a Coyote swap into a Lincoln LS and now I desperately want an LS just to do that engine swap.

I’ve always loved the looks of the Lincoln LS, they’re aggressive, but sleek sedans with pretty damn comfy interiors, however, they use either a 3.0l V6 or a 3.9l Jaguar V8 that has a tendency to be less than reliable. One friend that had a V8 LS blew it up after a month and had to buy a whole new engine. Despite decent performance, the Lincoln didn’t sell too terribly well and was discontinued in 2006. They can be had for reasonably cheap due to the less than reliable reputation they had, but you get quite the car for your money! Maybe it wasn’t successful as a luxury car, but with 50/50 weight distribution, independent front and rear suspension, paired with either a 210hp V6 (upgraded to 220hp in 2002) or the 252hp V8, these were actually pretty sporty cars! The LS even won Motor Trend’s Car of the Year in 2000. Sadly, the V8 was only available with an automatic transmission, the “slap stick” auto being optional, but the V6 could be had in a 5 speed manual, an unusual thing to see in a Lincoln. I’m actually tempted to see if I can find any clean examples for sale, because a Coyote 5.0 or even a 5.6 would be one helluva fun project to make the LS the truly sporty sedan it always should’ve been!

I honestly thought it was bmw at first, looks gold and with an aggressive engine it should do the work for the canyon and track

I’ve always viewed the Lincoln LS as okay looking but I never thought I’d see a Mustang powered one! And I swear this one has a widebody kit in the photo.

Yep it’s a widebody. For me the LS is one of the best looking Lincolns to date but that’s just my opinion.

I always loved the look of those LSs, it’s odd that they went with the jag motors when the 4.6 was a much better engine. I would love to see more love given to these cars!

No kidding! They could’ve been such great tuner toys if they had ditched the short lived Jag V8 and put the 4.6 in it. Imaging a Lincoln LS with the same Powertrain as the Mercury Marauder or Cobra Terminator! There are so many things they could’ve done to make the LS into an absolute beast.
