Good looking Ricer, should we give them a respectfull name?

Voting list of names you thought of will be made soon.

"Rice stands for Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancement or Ridiculous Immature Car Enthusiast" both these are from the interwebs and I think a bit outdated.

So as the quote says, the definition of ricer is so lost and outdated that I figure it’s impossible to be proud having a riced car, cars are titled ricer based on taste in most cases, which is a ridiculous reason because taste is personal. If I would do that, all Rocket Bunny and Liberty Walk cars would be named Ricer and most Ricer cars would be Tuners.
So let me show why there should be a new class of car customization.

Ricer car

This is a good looking car tbh, yet it’s named the same way as a little 1.3 civic hatch with a broken exhaust or a Daewoo Electra with a wing.

What gives ricers a bad name are douchebags acting like they have and know everything, even though they know they don’t.
These type of people mostly have a bone stock car (mechanical AND visual) but a broken or removed exhaust makes them think they are fast.
But also if there’s a car with parts that are placed with double sided tape, or parts that are clearly not designed for the car itself, it get’s the ricer name.

Chav car

These are mostly little hatchbacks with a engine no bigger than 1.4 (1.6 if they are lucky)

What gives Chav cars a bad name is the Chav part itself.
Search what chav is and you know what I mean.
Short description, a chav is the next level douchebag.

Sex Spec car

This is a Australian term and it’s of cars with big chrome rims and flashy paint/decals.

I don’t think it’s a term that get used for ugly cars, because australian people are more respectfull (I say this as an european btw)

New Name?

Cars with visual modifications that are made for the car itself without any performance upgrades in it should deserve more respect that a “rice” car does.

What describes a car of this class?
You know the scramble scene from 2 Fast 2 Furious? I think you do, in that scene there are a lot of modified cars, only 5 actor vehicles are in that scene, rest is from the car community of that time, and it’s a mixed bunch.
There where Civic’s, Mr2’s, Integra’s, Sentra’s, Beemers, Pt Cruiser’s, Lancer’s, Mustang’s, Camaro’s, Skyline’s, etc. And all are the same style, lot of visual parts, and I’m guessing 7/10 where mechanical stock.
What’s most noticeable is that all cars in that scene are affordable, exception of supra’s, rx7 and other sports cars.

You can basicly make a checklist to see if you have everything that makes your car able to be part in “The Fast And The Furious” or “2 Fast 2 Furious”
Bumpers
Side Skirts
Spoiler
Hood/Bonnet
Fenders
Stripe/Flame/Tribal/Etc Decals (branded performance named decals look stupid on a bone stock car)
17” Rims (depending on car maybe bigger or smaller, it must have normal sized tires, no low profile)
Exhaust (muffler mostly)
Quick Release Steering Wheel
Bucket Seats
Radio (either with flip screen or a solid mounted lcd screen)
Speakers
LCD Screens
Alu Pedals
Alu Shifter
LED Lights of any color (under and inside car).

So this style can’t be named just Ricer/Chav/Sex Spec, because the style I just described is not related to the owner of the vehicle itself, also cars that are shown in 1st and 2nd F&F movies are all good looking for that era of the car scene, and the car has it’s own personality.

Cars with visual modifications that look stupid on the car itself can stay described as rice, I have no problem with that, but a car that’s made with passion, love and atention to detail should deserve more respect like a tuner car does (tuners are completly different, yet just like a visually modified car, the owner is proud of their vehicle)

You don't have to like every style, or do every style, but at least respect all styles and don't be the one that insult something because it has no taste/style to you.

So now that this tread/post comes to an end, I have a question.
A car with visual modifications that looks like it came from the first 2 F&F movies, how should we brand these things, reminder, don’t base something to taste, that’s different for everyone.
I was thinking of F&F Tuning or RVCM (Retro Visual Car Modifications)
Let me know how you would name a car that’s visually modified in the style of the first 2 F&F movies.
In a week or 2 I’ll take all of the names in a list and I put it up for voting (it won’t change the world, but I would like to have a place for some respect) (any taste based comment that’s disrespectful will be ignored for a new name, sorry but I take this a bit seriously)

We call it a JVMC (Just visually modified car) or EMC (Exterior modified car) all in all that only means, that it’s a custom build, where the focus isn’t on performance. Because the RICE is a bit negativ

When cars look good/better/tastefully modded on just the visual aspect with a stock or mostly stock drivetrain, I usually just call them Showcars. Especially the crazy beautiful builds you see at car shows where the car is up on pedestals with mirrors on the ground so you can see the detailed undercarriage, those one’s are Trailer Queens since they probably never get driven, just made to look gorgeous and go from show to show, just being moved on and off a protected trailer.

Is it OK that I read this as “show car” when a car is made to look good on a show but still drives and “trailer queen” for show cars that never get driven?

Thanks so far for all the suggestions.
Here’s a picture of the same gold eclipse that I had in a previous post, I changed the black flames to gold for a simpler look, should I give this decals and if so, what type/size?

I’d call it a Tuner with Style
