Who remembers the time when Mitsubishi had a supercharged sedan?

Now as Mitsubishi fans, some of you guys know the 3000GT, Eclipse, Galant, Pajero, and of course the Lancer Evolution known affectionally as the Evo. But then there was the 380 in Australia (known as Galant in other countries) as Mitsubishi’s big sedan. The top of the line trim VR X had sporty looks, a 3.8l V6, and a manual transmission option. But then what happens when you give the 380 to TMR. Well the 380 TMR is created!

That’s right the 380 TMR with a Spintrex supercharged V6 with a helical limited slip diff. This is the Mitsubishi big sedan that would blow your doors off. Also, this was made as a direct competitor to the Toyota Aurion TRD (remember that car?).

After the concept was revealed, the 380 TMR went into production for how lucky the Aussies were. It was, however, a limited production of 20 cars and those orders were already sold out.

Unfortunately, now Australia only does exports and imports and Mitsubishi has seriously lost their way after ending production of the Evo. I hope the good times can happen again.
