Cars in Anime (2) You're Under Arrest! #blogpost

Hello again! I’m here to talk about a much lesser show but still one I highly recommend for you Car guys out there, this, I’d like to say, is a very good show for us Car Spotters out there: You’re Under Arrest!.

Now from that short opening, you eagle eyed CT-zens out there in the comments, see if you can name as many of the vehicles in that opening (even bikes if you wish) that you can.

Now I feature this show because of a few reasons, the first is my adoration for the characters, especially Ken, the clumsy oaf of a motorcycle patrolman, and the leading duo of Natsumi and Miyuki, who often find themselves in the presence of some of motorings legends in their day to day lives, (and that opening is very good)

Without spoiling too many of the vehicles you may spot in the show, It features a high count of classic machinery from its time, and its signature vehicle is no exception to me, the Honda Today.

The Honda Today in particular (above is pictured a real life replica of the car in the show) is special from the standard Honda Today in particular because of the state of which it has been highly modified by Miyuki, she outfitted the car with a large turbocharger and racing wheels, as well as a lot of other engine and suspension modifications to lead it to be the fastest regular use police vehicle with 4 wheels in the show. It also looks so goddamn happy. I also fully appreciate Miyuki’s regular car, which is a blue Toyota Sports 800.
Oh, and if you think this show will only contain Japanese classics, one of the easy spots on the video I posted hints otherwise.

The show may occasionally stretch your beliefs a bit on some of the vehicles that appear in it (not in terms of when they were made mind you) but I feel it is incredibly enjoyable because the show pays respect to the vehicles by their appearance alone.
