Wet spark plug in one of the cylinders. what does it mean?

Was checking the spark plugs then found out that one of it is wet. Take note that the spark plugs are replaced a month ago.

  • Does it give me any sign that may happen with the engine?
  • Is it serious?

Thanks for viewing this post and have a good day CTzens

missfires in the cylinder, so it may just happend when you shutted down the engine, (unburned fuel), or maybe your wires/coppers are bad -> no spark -> unburned fuel

try to run the engine for several minutes, wait for it to cool down, and check again

Ok noted, gotta try that.

How about a bad spark plug wire set n that certain cylinder, can that be possible? Because I told that issue to a mechanic and he said about the problem in the piston (i forgot) and it needs an overhaul, which will cost a lot.

No check engine light? Something similar happened to me but one of my spark plugs had some kind of white deposit on it and the computer states a misfire on that cylinder. I ended up overhauling the engine which I regret because he engine could have kept going for a while and could have just done a swap later on

Its a carbed engine, so no ECU or anything. The mechanic also told us that overhauling the bottom end would solve the problem but it is too expensive for now.

You may be looking at too rich of fuel mixture but the cars cpu should be able to figure out that it is running too rich unless you’re working on a carbourated engine then I believe you would have to put in a smaller jet to allow less fuel.
