Don't worry, this isn't one of those anti-hate memes... It's been a long time since I last drove a manual transmission car, though.

To kill the ‘women cant shift’ stereotype aswell my mom actually cant drive an automatic. She once tried and slammed on the brakes mistaking it for the clutch

i actually learned on an auto and it was boring and still is compared to manual which I learned from youtube. I drove a worn pickup truck that has one of the worst stick shifts ever. never stalled until dad told me stop all outta nowhere and I panicked and stalled lol. other than that, it was really awesome xp despite the shittiness of the car and tranny

I haven’t driven a manual since I took the driving test in one… I think I might’ve forgot how to drive one…

My first car is an auto/manual. Like one of those where I can switch between automatic, paddle shifting, and that weird stick shift semi auto thing. It’s a Toyota camry ‘sport’ edition from 2014. It has a 178 horsepower I4, so nothing special. Good first car though.

The car my dad learned on was a 1975 ford elite. It weighed 4,200 pounds, had a 150 horsepower v8 with 140 pounds feet of torque, 0-60 in like 15 seconds, and a top speed of 130 miles an hour. Manual 4 speed, and awful brakes and suspension.

It just sounds like torture.

My dad drives a 2014.5 Camry SE. Though, I tried using manual mode and the paddle shifters once and they’re painfully slow.

Where I live you can makes an auto-only drivers licence, or the regular drivers license that includes taking your driving test in a manual car.

My first car was a manual. I also taught my wife and my kids to drive a stick. Now they all prefer a manual trans.
