Mercedes Benz W123 240D?
I’m thinking about buying a Mercedes Benz 240D from 1982, so it’s W123. So I’m asking if anyone has any experience with these cars. It’s rust free, except the front of the bonnet has rusted.
The car is a 2.4L Diesel (obviously) paired with a 4 speed manual transmission. The interior is clean, no mold or anything, atleast from what can be seen without tearing the interior open. The seats are original Mercedes seats.
The engine runs, even though being in a barn for the last 4 years, but the current owner is fixing the brakes and others (sadly, i would have liked to do them myself) but after all that, the price is really cheap, considering the ones that are rusted start with 1 000€ for wagons and 1 600€ for sedans. There is going to be some work to do, but i get my driving license at end of December, so I’ll have plenty of time to fix it.

What are the worst rust spots usually in these? What i should pay attention to when driving, like noises or something? And also basic things, like how is it to drive, and everything?

I have a 300d(same thing but in america) so if you need any help ill tell you
300D is 3 litre, and 240D is 2.4litre.
Everything else is pretty much identical.
