What do y'all think of a BMW 3 series off-road/Rally/Dakkar Build?

2004 BMW 3 Series

I am going to get a 2004-2005 BMW 3 series for myself hopefully in the not too distant future. But I want to do something different than most people. I don’t want to make a Track car or tuner out of the 3 series, I want to make it something special, something different, like a Rally car, or off road car. I know this isn’t the best car for these things, but I wouldn’t be using it for actual racing for a while, I would want to use it as a car to have fun in and be a daily driver.

BMW 3 Series Rally Car

As seen above, they have made 3 Series rally cars before, but I want to make something a little different. The plans I have made for the build include stripping the interior and fitting racing seats and harnesses, raising the vehicle a bit with beefier suspension, adding a turbo, installing a new exhaust system, doing a little work on the engine, and throwing on some aero bits to make some downforce, and look the part. As time goes on, I would be adding more things to get more power.

BMW 3 Series Track Car

The Build I have in mind would be a combination of a track car, and rally car build. The reason for this is to make it a crazy ride that can be fun both on and off the road. It would have the Power and aero bits of a Track car, but the off-road capabilities and raise of a rally car (maybe higher for a crazier look, but not too high).

BMW X3 Rally car

Like the X3 Above, the raise on that vehicle would be similar to what I would be looking for in my build. I want to be able to hop a curb, or take a small jump in this vehicle and have no problem doing so. I would like it to be able to squat when I hit the gas, and spin its wheels when I want it to. It has to be a crazy thing that baffles people who see it. I want it to be at home on the track and on gravel roads. Don’t worry, I am getting the vehicle in manual because manual is the best way to drive. I want to ask everyone’s opinion on this idea, and would like suggestions to the best parts for this build. I want this to be something that I can work on with the advice and ideas of the people in this awesome community. Thanks for reading and I hope that this can become a reality to work with y’all on.

Do a street tune build, as both of those require the coupe version
just make it a powerful turbocharged engine and you’re set!
