1999 Toyota Corolla G6R

I’ve been lucky enough to find a G6R here in Belgium. It has some attentionpoints here en there, but nothing we can’t fix. This car is so nice because a. it is a limited edition and b. because it comes with lowered sportive springs, sideskirts and weight reduction as a standard. I only recently bought it, so still lots to be done. This will become my main project car. The idea is to only use genuine toyota/tte/trd parts.

What I have done allready:

  • TTE front bumper with fogs
  • TTE spoiler
  • TTE grandstand rims
  • Remus exhaust (to be replaced with a TTE double exhaust, if I ever find one)
  • tinting the side windows in the back
  • windshield wiper down
  • white blinkers on the side
  • getting the orange glow out of the front blinkers
  • short antenna
  • aluminum doorhandels (inside) from the e11 facelift
  • Linea Luna middle console
  • Linea Luna window buttons
  • receiver central doorlocking mechanism + remote
  • install Celica T23 steering wheel

To be done:

  • 2din radioholder with touchscreen radio-gps-handsfree
  • revise the 6speed transmission + install it again (now 5speed)
  • 4AGE 20V Blacktop-engine
  • Remove the LPG-tank that’s installed
  • tinting the back window (new window here)
  • sunstrip on the front window
  • white leds behind speedometer + red needle
  • white leds in centre console (trying red ones later on)
  • white leds in dome
  • red leds in trunk
  • leds above license plate
  • citylights + headlights in 6000K
  • foglights 6000K leds
  • spraypaint some interior parts in 196 grey
  • rally brakes

Seems like a nice project we don’t see often. I always had a soft spot for the corolla since i saw it as a World Rally Car in Condroz as a kid. Have fun and see you on the road m8 !

Looks like you hanging mostly the cosmetic stuff and overall drive ahaha, also your best bet if you are looking for parts like steering wheels, your junkyard might be your best bet!

Yes I am because most upgrades like custom exhaust are illegal in Belgium. (Only with some attest can it be done). Also the swap is not entirely legal, but I’m using a loophole to get it so.
Most parts I get in the Netherlands. Im in a club there.
Steering wheels without working airbags (sport steering wheels for example) could never happen here.

Best corolla is e90 and e110 not that ae86 and stuff Americans are fanboying about

The ae86 is an awesome car, but not as awesome as it is hyped to be. The money you need to buy one is ridiculous. The AE82 GT is about equally as good, but front wheel driven(shame).
My father had a ae90 rallycar (hatch) and my sister has the GTi liftback. Both are awesome cars. The AE100 is angood, stable car, but it’s looks don’t do it for me. It is to avarage.
I Myself drive the AE110 as you can see. I love the bug-eyes, although many people resent it. (Hence the facelift into avaragedom).

Bring a Caterham To MARS

If I may, have you used the LPG during your ownership? And if so, what are your thoughts on it?

I have usee it a couple of times because it was there, but I’m not a big fan of it. You notice a difference in power and the car responds just a tad slower. It is a lot cheaper though.
